Scholarship Types

It is impossible to list every scholarship available in China due to the numerous universities and organizations that offer them.

However, here are some of the most common scholarships for international students in China:

Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC Scholarship)

This scholarship, offered by the Chinese government, is the most prestigious, encompassing tuition fees, accommodation, a living stipend, and health insurance.

Local Government Scholarships

These scholarships are offered by provincial and municipal governments in China. Although they are typically less competitive than CSC scholarships, they may have specific eligibility requirements, such as being from a certain country or region.

University Scholarships

Many universities in China offer their own scholarships to international students, which can vary in value and coverage of expenses.

Confucius Institute Scholarships

These scholarships are offered by Confucius Institutes around the world to students who want to study Chinese language and culture in China.

Silk Road Scholarships

These scholarships are offered by the Chinese government to students from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Spring Bud Project

This program offers scholarships to orphans and students from low-income families in China.
